No, this is not a link to an Onion story. It’s for real.
I was reading this sports column today, and the columnist was making a point about how long the KC Chiefs have had their current general manager (since 1989). I thought his point put things in perspective pretty well:
“When Carl Peterson was hired, there was no such thing as a World Wide Web, there were no DVDs, cell phones were roughly the size of bar stools, Sarah Palin was a sports reporter in Alaska and Barack Obama was in law school (John McCain was an Arizona senator).”
A freaking digital SLR camera shot this video. Stunning.
This is a fact check re: Governor Palin’s speech last night. No matter who gave the speech at either convention, these fact check reports always expose how creative politicians get in their speeches. I always have a good chuckle.
